  • Usage

    Lighting

For remote control of lamps and lighting fixtures.

  • Maximum Load

It is the maximum amount of current that the switch can withstand without burning out. It shows you how many or how powerful devices you can connect: for simple lights, 10A is enough, while for power-hungry devices (such as a water heater) more Amperes are required.

For example, a typical LED bulb (e.g. 10W) draws very little current, about 0.04 Amperes. This means that a standard smart switch of 10A is more than sufficient for its operation.

Finally I found a proper switch!

Not only does it have terminals to screw in both wires (live and neutral), it is also a double switch!
Also, it has clamps for the wires!

Get it and stay away from those cheap Eurolamp ones that want you to run one wire through uncut...

WARNING, this was a purchase from the Papantoniou store; from another store you may get a more cheaply made one..
