the filter also came to me white and from what I understand it is the Fhpra and not the Fhpra2 as the product code says, metal thread on the side that goes into the tap, it also has a plastic gasket but it was leaking so teflon was also used to stop the leak. I got it for the washing machine due to hard water in the supply. The filter I received was white instead of blue (which doesn't matter to me) and the threading is metallic! Time will tell if it works against limescale in the washing machine... As for the clothes, the difference is negligible!

I bought 2, one went into the washing machine and one was tested on an outdoor faucet for washing the car due to hard water on the island. To my surprise, there were no deposits left on the car after wiping. The ones I received had a metal thread, very important!!
