The operating principle of activated carbon is a combination of mechanical filtration and adsorption through activated carbon. The carbon block is made by pressing carbon powder with a binding material. Activated carbon from 100% coconut shell – all materials are quality tested for food contact. The multi-layer carbon block provides a large active surface for the adsorption of impurities.
Unpleasant taste and odor, chlorine (water disinfectant), and organic impurities are absorbed.
