I had the drip-in that uses the same black cone but it broke, so I decided to get this one which is more beautiful. It says 500ml on it, but I have made up to 700ml of coffee without any problem and without the coffee reaching the filter.

The coffee is obviously just as good as it would be with any other Hario carafe. I give it four stars with the reasoning that you can make the same coffee with the same filter and another coffee maker from the same company.

First, my hand doesn't fit inside to wash it. In the simple carafe that takes the V60 with the base, it fits, just like it fit in the drip-in that takes the same cone.

Second, this cone doesn't sit on a cup for when you want to make just one serving of coffee. Personally, I have quite a few, but with this and that, I will continue to buy carafes and not single systems.

Third, it doesn't go in the dishwasher without removing the silicone ring. The carafes made of hard plastic do.

Finally, because I see comments about how fragile Hario's glass is: The goal is to create a glass that can withstand being filled with coffee, but at the same time is light enough not to absorb all the heat of the drink. For those who pre-heat the cone and the filter, you can heat the entire carafe with the same water. It requires a little care not to hit it on marble countertops or other glassware when putting it in the drying rack or dishwasher, e.g., if you touch it in a Pyrex dish, forget it.

I have had it for 2-3 years now, with daily use, and I can say that it is very convenient and useful.

In its main advantages, compared to a regular v60, is that you can easily make more than one cup of coffee at a time and it also reduces the chances of the airflow getting blocked in the cup and delaying the process. An additional advantage is that it is quite beautiful and can be used for serving coffee if desired.

There is no comparison with an electric coffee maker, with a little effort you can get much better coffee, as you can manage the water temperature and the coffee won't be sitting on a heating element for a long time unnecessarily. If someone takes a little more time to grind their coffee (which objectively will give much better results than any brewer) and learns brewing techniques with the v60, they can enjoy great coffee at home at a reasonable price.

The main disadvantage it has is that it is somewhat difficult to clean due to its narrow neck, so it requires attention. But it is definitely better than pitchers with permanent plastic handles, which easily accumulate salts.
