The silver stem stayed in the port and the rest was in my hand! Now it has broken in two and after some effort only the Type-A part remained, which still works! Also in my VW car (2024) it only works if you unplug it and plug it back into the Type-C port, whereas before it worked right away! Brand name, etc. my foot, stay away..
