Although I was hesitant to get such a device, the time finally came and I bought it. The price may be a bit steep, but it is worth it for the job it does. As soon as it detects smoke, whether from a cigarette or an electronic cigarette, or from anything polluting, it lights up red and increases the fan speed until it cleans the air of particles. So far in the auto setting I have it, it hasn't gone into turbo mode... only up to high. The air levels it has are sleep, low, med, high, turbo. And it consumes accordingly measured with the tapo meter, 5-8-10-15-76 watts... The company states a maximum of 90 watts... I haven't seen that. Maybe in a really dirty environment working for a long time, the turbo might reach that... For normal use, the turbo may not even turn on at all in the auto setting... for me, it works at maximum on high. Therefore, we are talking about very low consumption that will not burden the electricity bill even if it runs 24/7. As for the filters, when someone sees them up close, they will understand their quality... Although they could perhaps be a bit more economical... But again, if cleaned often, they will last a long time... It also has 4 color levels depending on whether the particle sensor detects them... Blue, green, yellow, and red. As for the noise, up to high it is not bothersome... In sleep mode, you can't even hear it even next to it... But in turbo mode, it makes quite a bit of noise, which is reasonable for the volume of air it is filtering at that moment.

Whatever I say about this particular device is an understatement.

This is a device that has literally changed my life regarding the allergy I had. It works seamlessly 24/7, completely eliminating the allergy symptoms that had troubled me for years and were not resolved even with surgery.

Since 2020, when I returned to Larissa from Volos where I was studying, I started having a crazy allergy to the point where I would sneeze comfortably 50 times a day. I even strained my back from all the sneezing. My nose was permanently stuffed to the point where I couldn't breathe at all, and at night I kept waking up due to congestion. This had a huge impact on my sleep quality and how rested I felt the next day. I went to allergists, did all the necessary tests with drops on my hands, as well as blood tests, which showed that I ultimately did not have an allergy to any substance. The tests were done multiple times with various doctors and testing centers. I bought a new mattress thinking I might have a dust mite issue because I would wake up worse in the mornings. I got special vacuum cleaners that clean dust mites from beds and sofas. Nothing. I was encouraged to look into my septum as a possible cause, which indeed was very crooked. I decided to have surgery in March 2023 to correct it, along with cauterization of the turbinates. In the first few days, I noticed a huge difference in my breathing quality, but after 15-20 days post-surgery, my nose started to get stuffy again and I was sneezing at the same level as before. Gradually, day by day, I got worse until I reached the level I was at before. I had literally lost all hope and thought that this was how I would have to live from now on.

In March 2024, a colleague bought a Xiaomi air purifier and mentioned that she noticed a small but noticeable difference regarding her allergy. I didn't need to hear anything else. I researched it and bought the Winix Zero Pro the same day, which seems to have some of the best filters on the market. I also live in a 78m2 house, so I wanted something powerful. From the first day, it seemed like I noticed a difference, but I thought it was a placebo effect. On the second day, the difference was noticeable without any doubt. On the third day, the difference was chaotic. Until we reach the fourth day. From the fourth day onwards, I had a streak of 32 days with ZERO sneezes and my nose was clearer than ever. Combined with the surgery I had for my septum, I was taking the best breaths of my life. I know how I sound, but guys, I'm not exaggerating at all. We're talking about a life-changing experience. The quality of my sleep is at another level, and I have the measurements from my Garmin Fenix 7X to confirm it. I wake up much more rested and with more enthusiasm for everything. Since May, I sneeze 1-2 times every 4-5 days. To a degree that is completely normal and doesn't cause me any issues. My nose continues to be spotless throughout this time. I believe I have found my cure. Here, I should point out that I work remotely from home, so I spend many hours of the day at home, and therefore the purifier does a lot of work for me. I want to mention the first time I cleaned it after two weeks of use. I took out the first filter on the balcony and shook it against the railing. SHOCK. It didn't look like a filter. We're talking about full dust that covered it almost completely. From the next cleanings, it removes much less because it seems to have cleaned the atmosphere.

As for the operation, I keep it permanently on a safety power strip from APC, in Auto mode. I only turn it off every 2 weeks briefly just to clean it. There are guides on the internet for that. Most of the time it operates on Low, where in the space it is, it cannot be heard. Once it goes up to Medium and above, it makes a little noise but not annoying. However, all of this is secondary for me compared to the work it does. At night, it automatically goes into Sleep mode, where it cannot be heard at all. Especially with the earplugs that I always put in at night. Finally, I have noticed a significant difference in dusting in the house.

In about 6 months from now (at the 1-year mark from the purchase), I will need to change the filters at a cost of around 90 euros. Expensive, yes, but considering the change I have seen, I wouldn't think about it for a second. I know there may be cheaper compatible ones, but from the beginning, I ended up with the Winix Zero Pro due to the quality of the filters. I am not going to sacrifice that quality for a few euros. It is a device that is literally made to do one job, so let it do it properly with the original filters.

Excellent machine, from an excellent company! I had the Winix Zero in my 35 sqm office for 1 year and I was completely satisfied with its performance, functionality, and effectiveness, so I decided to invest in the best model for my 97 sqm house. Sturdy construction, relatively bulky but easily movable, it has already made a difference in terms of clean atmosphere, air quality detection, and automatic adjustment to any condition (in Auto mode).

The only negatives:
a) slightly intense noise at medium speed and quite loud noise at high speed, but in a house with 3 people, a television, and other devices in operation, you won't be bothered by the cleaner's noise. At night, you can put it in sleep mode and you won't hear it at all.
b) lack of Wi-Fi connectivity. Okay, it's 2021, you're Winix, and you charge a high price, so add Wi-Fi for remote management and integration into a smart home with Google Assistant/Alexa/HomeKit and automation. For me, this is a significant "fault," but not to the extent of losing a star in the rating.

Finally, some important parameters: we are not smokers and there are no pets. With these conditions, the HEPA filter easily lasts for 1 year and something without the replacement light turning on. This also helps save on spare parts, which can be expensive for Winix models. However, you get what you pay for.

Buy it with your eyes closed, invest in products that truly help your health.

Edit: Why such a large price fluctuation? Within a week, it dropped by 21% from the original price (I bought it at that price), then it dropped to 27% (compared to the original) shortly after, and before the 10-day period ended, it returned to the original price, without it being a discount or Black Friday period! Do careful research before purchasing it.

Can air purifiers and Hepa filters they use trap viruses like Covid-19: According to Winix, this is possible for H13 filters, which their devices use. Viruses are particles usually with a diameter of 0.1 - 0.2 μm, so they are smaller than what true Hepa filters can capture. So how does Winix tell us that H13 filters can trap them? This happens because viruses do not move in a straight trajectory (Brownian motion theory) due to their very small mass, but in a zig-zag trajectory, so the filter can catch them.

I use it in a space of about 50 sq.m. and it really does a great job. It is relatively quiet, and overall the noise it produces is not annoying like that of a dehumidifier, it seems to be of good quality, sturdy with durable plastics, and it also has a very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing appearance. You really notice the difference with the external environment and I believe that for those of us who live in big urban centers, it is important to at least breathe clean air inside the house. Without exaggeration, you can see it in your hair as it gets greasy more difficultly and does not have that burdened image due to pollution.

I don't give it 5 stars because it doesn't have WIFI functionality, and something that I don't know whether it is an issue or not, the ZERO PRO has light sensors, resulting in not being able to operate in AUTO mode during the evening hours and automatically going into sleep mode, so it does not function based on air quality detection. This initially bothered me, however, I leave it in sleep mode as the air is already clean (blue indicator).
