The Aged Kardasi Tsipouro is a fine distillate of muscat pomace that has matured in French and American oak barrels. The distillate remains in the barrels for 18 – 24 months. The duration of the aging process depends on the type and charring of the barrel.
This aging process changes the character of the tsipouro, giving it more refined aromas, richer taste, and a very strong aftertaste.
The final blend is an excellent distillate that is smooth and complete, pleasantly surprising you.
It features dominant aromas of fresh fruits, vanilla, citrus, as well as spices, mocha chocolate, and tobacco.
It is best enjoyed neat at a low temperature, in a tulip glass as a digestif dessert after a good meal.
You can also drink it in a chilled old-fashioned glass, accompanied by spicy nuts or dried fruits (plums, apricots, figs, etc.).
The ideal pairing is with bitter chocolate filled with orange.
It can also serve as a base for imaginative cocktails.
