The product does what it promises, it is well constructed with hard durable plastics and seems to be worth its money. In a review by a user, it was mentioned that it cannot be used because of a plastic round at the edge of the rod, which was cut by the user to the "right size". This is incorrect. The round plastic is NOT used for traditional cartridges with a hard casing and must be completely removed. This accessory is only needed for the so-called "sausages" wrapped in soft packaging. If you watch a video on YouTube titled "Richelieu Hardware - Caulking Gun with 600 ml Avon Tube", you will understand exactly when and how to use the round plastic, how to remove it, and how to screw on the plain metal wheel with the two screws. Therefore, the product has no manufacturing defect.

Look at the front of the barrel, it has a metal stem (photo 1) that pushes the base of the silicone cartridge. In front of the metal, I had a plastic piece that had the screw embedded, so I couldn't unscrew it. This plastic piece had a diameter almost the same as the diameter of the aluminum tube, so when the cartridge was inserted, the stem had the same diameter as the entire cartridge, so HOW could it push the base? Because I had never had such a gun before (I had an old cast one), I put them side by side and that's how I realized the mistake. I cut the plastic (photo 2) to the diameter it should be, that is, the same as the old one (photo 3), and now it can be inserted to push the base of the cartridge (photo 4) and start dispensing the silicone (photo 5).
If I found a way to remove this plastic, the axis would remain exposed, so every time I pulled the trigger, the pressure would be in the center of the base of the silicone like a skewer, and not uniform, so the job wouldn't be done correctly.
With a diameter almost the same as the aluminum tube, even a click larger than the cartridge itself, then HOW would it push the base?
Until I found the trick, I thought about throwing it away twice (I couldn't return it because it was scratched), but in the end, I found a solution.

Με διαμετρο σχεδον τσιμα-τσιμα με τον αλουμινενιο σωληνα αρα ενα κλικ πιο μεγαλη και απο το ιδιο το φυσιγγιο ολοκληρο τοτε ΠΩΣ θα εσπρωχνε την βαση του;
Μεχρι να βρω το κολπο 2 φορες ειπα να το πεταξω (δεν μπορουσα να το γυρισω πισω γιατι ειχε γρατζουνιστει) αλλα τελικα βρηκα ακρη.
Very good quality construction. Advantage that it is a closed tube from all sides and the pressure on the silicone is applied uniformly. Disadvantage that the pressure rod is smooth (without ridges) and slips during pressure. However, it can be corrected by rubbing it a little with sandpaper.
Πολυ ποιοτικη κατασκευή. Πλέονεκτημα οτι είναι σωλήνα κλειστή από παντού και η πίεση στη σιλικόνη ασκείται ομοιόμορφα. Μειωνέκτημα οτι η βέργα πίεσης είναι λεία (χωρίς ραυδόσεις) και γλυστραει κατα την πίεση. Διορθώνεται ομως τρίβοντάς τη λίγο με γυαλόχαρτο.

Το προϊόν κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται, είναι καλή κατασκευή με σκληρά ανθεκτικά πλαστικά και φαίνεται να αξίζει τα λεφτά του. Σε κριτική κάποιου χρήστη αναφέρθηκε ότι δεν μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί εξαιτίας ενός πλαστικού στρογγυλού στην άκρη της ράβδου, το οποίο κόπηκε από το χρήστη στο "σωστό μέγεθος". Αυτό είναι λάθος. Το στρογγυλό πλαστικό ΔΕΝ χρησιμοποιείται για τα παραδοσιακά φυσίγγια με σκληρό περίβλημα και πρέπει να αφαιρεθεί εντελώς. Συνεπώς το προϊόν δεν έχει κανένα κατασκευαστικό ελάττωμα.

Look at the front of the barrel, it has a metal stem (photo 1) that pushes the base of the silicone cartridge. In front of the metal, I had a plastic piece that had the screw embedded, so I couldn't unscrew it. This plastic piece had a diameter almost the same as the diameter of the aluminum tube, so when the cartridge was inserted, the stem had the same diameter as the entire cartridge, so HOW could it push the base? Because I had never had such a gun before (I had an old cast one), I put them side by side and that's how I realized the mistake. I cut the plastic (photo 2) to the diameter it should be, that is, the same as the old one (photo 3), and now it can be inserted to push the base of the cartridge (photo 4) and start dispensing the silicone (photo 5).
If I found a way to remove this plastic, the axis would remain exposed, so every time I pulled the trigger, the pressure would be in the center of the base of the silicone like a skewer, and not uniform, so the job wouldn't be done correctly.
With a diameter almost the same as the aluminum tube, even a click larger than the cartridge itself, then HOW would it push the base?
Until I found the trick, I thought about throwing it away twice (I couldn't return it because it was scratched), but in the end, I found a solution.

Κοιταξτε στο εμβολο μπροστα ειναι μεταλλικο το στελεχος (φωτο 1) που σπρωχνει την βαση του φυσιγγιου της σιλικονης,ε σε εμενα ειχε μπροστα απο το μεταλλικο ενα πλαστικο το οποιο ειχε χωνευτη την βιδα αρα δεν μπορουσα να το ξεβιδωσω.Αυτο το πλαστικο ειχε διαμετρο σχεδον οση διαμετρο και ο σωληνας αλουμινιου αρα οταν εμπαινε το φυσσιγιο μεσα το στελεχος ειχε διαμετρο οσο ολο το φυσσιγιο αρα ΠΩΣ να σπρωξει την βαση; Επειδη δεν ειχα ξανα τετοιο πιστολι (ειχα ενα παλιο χυτο) τα εβαλα διπλα και ετσι επιασα το λαθος,εκοψα το πλαστικο (φωτο 2) στην διαμετρο που επρεπε δηλαδη οσο το παλιο (φωτο 3) και ετσι πλεον μπορει να μπει μεσα να σπρωξει την βαση του φυσιγγιου (φωτο 4) και να αρχισει να βγαινει η σιλικονη (φωτο 5).
Εαν εβρισκα τροπο να το βγαλω αυτο το πλαστικο θα εμενε ο αξονας να εξεχει αρα καθε φορα που θα παταγα την σκανδαλη η πιεση θα ηταν στο κεντρο της βασης της σιλικονης σαν σουβλι και οχι ομοιομορφη αρα η δουλεια δεν θα γινοταν σωστα.
Με διαμετρο σχεδον τσιμα-τσιμα με τον αλουμινενιο σωληνα αρα ενα κλικ πιο μεγαλη και απο το ιδιο το φυσιγγιο ολοκληρο τοτε ΠΩΣ θα εσπρωχνε την βαση του;
Μεχρι να βρω το κολπο 2 φορες ειπα να το πεταξω (δεν μπορουσα να το γυρισω πισω γιατι ειχε γρατζουνιστει) αλλα τελικα βρηκα ακρη.

Πολυ ποιοτικη κατασκευή. Πλέονεκτημα οτι είναι σωλήνα κλειστή από παντού και η πίεση στη σιλικόνη ασκείται ομοιόμορφα. Μειωνέκτημα οτι η βέργα πίεσης είναι λεία (χωρίς ραυδόσεις) και γλυστραει κατα την πίεση. Διορθώνεται ομως τρίβοντάς τη λίγο με γυαλόχαρτο.
