Significant for the interpretations of myths and for the wealth of information it contains, the work of Heraclitus extols the great epic poet, presenting him as a true initiate and also as a substantive proponent of many philosophical and scientific doctrines.
The philosopher Heraclitus (a different individual from his namesake of Ephesus) likely lived during the time of Augustus or Nero. There is very little information about his life.
