It is August 1959. In a HLM in Bobigny, on the outskirts of Paris, two comic book writers wipe their foreheads. Not just because of the heat: the two friends are sweating and struggling to find a character idea. They need to be ready for the first issue of Pilote, a new magazine for young people that will be released in three months. The screenwriter is named René Goscinny. His friend and artist is Albert Uderzo. They had considered adapting Renard the Fox, but someone else had thought of that first. So, they are searching. But they find nothing... Until Goscinny has the idea for a small, lively, mustachioed Gaul. Thus, Asterix is born. With him, a huge publishing success and a phenomenon in society.
