Description

In Abdera, the well-known city of Thrace from the archaic era, the effort to revive the vineyard famous from antiquity began in 2000. Participating in this initiative, ANATOLIKOS VINEYARDS started cultivating Greek and international grape varieties in 2005, applying organic farming principles.

Its privately-owned vineyard is the northernmost coastal organic vineyard in Greece. The location of the vineyard on the arid hills of Abdera, at an altitude ranging from 50-70 meters and approximately 2 kilometers from the Thracian Sea, the sandy soil, the continuous cool northeastern winds, and the 13-15 C day-night temperature difference along with the area's microclimate significantly contribute to the creation of high-quality products.
