Jerry Drake, or Mister No, is a fictional character from Italian comics created in 1975. He experienced many adventures throughout World War II, where he fought as a soldier, pilot, and member of the American secret services in various locations. He was eventually named Mister No by his adversaries due to his pride and stubborn refusal to follow orders. In early 1945, he returned home and decided to settle in Manaus, Brazil, to live life on his own terms.
But what would happen if Jerry Drake was born 25 years later than his official biography? The new series of the hero, "Mister No Revolution," answers this exact question, while keeping intact the three periods that define his life (war, life as a veteran, and escape to an unknown place) and without altering anything about his uncompromising character! In the first part of this new series titled Vietnam ["Mister No Revolution - Vietnam," November 2018], written by Michele Masiero and illustrated by Matteo Cremona, we meet the hero in New York City in 1967, when the American government sends its young men to fight and die on the other side of the world in a war that is heavily questioned back home. The end of innocence, of an America that moves away from the idealized image of the 1950s, is what will transform the boy Jerry Drake into the man Mister No!
