Wherever you find a bar, pipe, lever, or any other cylindrical object (please refrain from making inappropriate comments), in a horizontal position, the base attaches and doesn't come off. As for holding the device, that's another matter, a slightly better non-slip grip on the "crocodile" wouldn't hurt, but overall it's decent and you won't easily find yourself fishing for your phone under the seats. All in all, it's very decent for its price.

Unfortunately, in my car (Citroen C2), it was never able to stand. As soon as you put your phone on it, due to its weight, the whole base falls. Its stability depends on the shape and design of each car's dashboard. So if your dashboard has strong curves and inclines, do not prefer a clip base, because it is most likely not able to stay stable. I would recommend one with a suction cup.
