ABENA Curi-Med non-sterile gauze suitable for wound care. The care of a simple wound that does not require surgery is a common procedure applied in clinics and medical offices. Dressings and gauzes must be tightly secured, and all hygiene rules must be followed.
What you need to know about applying a dressing:
- Strictly adhere to all hygiene and sterilization conditions.
- Use sterilized scissors and other surgical tools that are stainless steel.
- Take the materials to be applied to the wound out of the packaging, which should be kept away from the wound itself to avoid the risk of contamination.
- Hand disinfection with special disinfectants is necessary both before and after changing the dressing.
- Do not touch the wound and always wear gloves.
Why use a protective dressing: Using the dressing is very important to reduce pressure and protect the injured areas. Dressings and gauze protect the wound from dust and external environmental conditions.
