The E1 cartridge, the first in the series, utilizes a cantilever made from carbon-reinforced material and a spherical (0.6 mil) stylus with a round base. Carbon is an effective alternative to more premium materials like aluminum or boron, producing comparable results in most entry-level hi-fi applications.
