However, there are electronic devices that prove on YouTube that they are actually produced. I got it because according to the theory it cleans up to 5 millimeters away from where the brush reaches, so also inside the gumline and between the teeth, where we put the dental floss. There is also an increased risk of damage there. There are reports that it also prevents abscesses under the root of the tooth that normally require surgical treatment. So far, and after weeks of use, I judge that all of this is true

    I have been using electric toothbrushes exclusively for 20 years.

    At first, I tried the Philips Sonicare brushes, with which I noticed significantly improved results compared to regular brushes.

    Then I tried the Braun brushes with the rotating head, which seemed to do an even better job.

    A serious disadvantage of the Braun brushes is that as the battery goes from charge to charge, their performance also decreases.

    Additionally, over time, the battery life gets shorter and shorter while the battery itself does not change, so you end up having to keep them permanently on the charger.

    So, I got the Megasonex for a change. The first observation is that it provides many brushings with just one charge without a noticeable drop in performance.

    The Megasonex has a three-minute timer instead of the two minutes that other brushes have for each brushing.

    Its head is like that of a small regular toothbrush, so you can brush your teeth manually for a while to remove food particles before pressing the button to activate it. The Braun head, on the other hand, is unsuitable for this.

    The small vibrating motion obviously mechanically removes food from the teeth and gums.

    However, it is supposed that the main work is done by the ultrasound that breaks down bacterial chains.

    I have no idea if this system works, as you don't feel it either in your ear or as a vibration.

    It leaves me with a feeling of clean teeth, clearly more than the Braun, but only time and the dentist at the next check-up will show if it really offers something better or if it's just a fairy tale!

    I will come back in six months!
