After extensive research and preparation, a collectible series of figures was created with the involvement of archaeologists and educators. The twelve gods of Olympus come to teach children valuable lessons in mythology through play!
Ares, the god of war and son of Zeus and Hera, often fought on foot and rarely in a chariot with four horses. According to myth, Cadmus, the progenitor of the Thebans, killed a dragon that was the son of Ares. The god, enraged, made him his slave for a year and forced him to sow the dragon's teeth. From these grew fierce warriors, who were annihilated with a plan by Cadmus, and eventually only five survived, who became the first citizens of Thebes.
Later, Ares reconciled with Cadmus and gave him as his wife Harmonia, his daughter by Aphrodite. The main symbols of Ares were the spear and the lit torch.
