Whatever gels I try, I always return to Maurten! They are the most reliable, with no stomach discomfort and without making you desperately thirsty for water after consumption. Surely, there are more affordable gels on the market and maybe the price is the only downside. However, I focus on the fact that it is easily digestible, has a neutral taste and a jelly-like texture, and doesn't make you thirsty. The ideal choice for a long run or intense exercise!

I tried the famous gel that so much has been said about. Indeed, its taste was imperceptibly sweet, fortunately, because at that moment when you are swallowing, out of breath and half-dead, you don't care about the taste, you just want to get those damn kilometers done. At first, I felt a slight burning in my stomach and wondered what extraordinary thing would happen. I continued at the same pace and the route I was running, about ten minutes after consumption, started to go uphill. No drop in pace, I continued at exactly the same tempo and even started to push a bit more. As an average runner, I was surprised myself, how I hadn't coughed up my lungs. Conclusion, it doesn't make you Superman, but on the tough parts you just keep going nonstop, without feeling fatigue at that moment, and I think it reached its peak performance about half an hour after consumption. No stomach or intestinal disturbance

It's a no from me.
I didn't like the taste of the gel's texture at all and it didn't perform like others during running.
I will continue with another, tastier and more fluid gel.

No problem with digestion. Its form is a solid gel which you can swallow as it is. It doesn't have a particular taste and that's a matter of preference

By far the best gel for endurance and long-duration sports, even though it is also by far the most expensive per piece. The packaging is quite elegant and nice to keep for future use. 4 stars because I think that with an order of 12 pieces or more, the price per piece should drop at least a little. Other than that, in terms of performance and usability in long runs (15+ kilometers), they are the best (I have tried 4-5 other well-known brands like GU, ethic, and others)

One of the most expensive (maybe even the most expensive) gels for endurance sports! Personally tested for running during Half Marathon and Marathon training. Although it hurts the wallet a bit when you start preparing and need at least 10-12 for your long runs, for example, in the end, it's worth the money and then some! The taste is only slightly sweet without being overwhelming, so you don't desperately search for water afterward. Its texture is quite balanced, making it easy to use while running and it doesn't make a mess either. From personal experience and that of friends, we all feel it gets absorbed and acts within 10 minutes. Its effect, even for a man over 1.85m and 80+ kg, is strong and lasts quite a while. Bonus tip: if you want even more effective results, combine it with a Salt Stick electrolyte capsule

I have ordered them again once before and they made a huge difference both in my training and in my race in terms of my energy, and of course I will order them again

I have used this Gel in 3 marathons and one ultramarathon. In difficult race conditions, my stomach felt nothing. Easily digestible with quick absorption. I highly recommend it.

Excellent quality. Sweet taste, and not too intense like other gels. Its texture is like Turkish delight, I agree with the users who noticed it. It comes out of the packaging easily and doesn’t run. However, its price is prohibitive for me. 3.75€ for 25g of sugar. I only keep it for the race.

I was using GU. Quite satisfied, amazing flavors. However, during a marathon after the 5th - 6th my stomach started wanting to expel its contents. I read good things about Maurten. Although significantly more expensive, they haven't caused me any issues during a marathon so far, and they don't require water. They don't have the taste of GU, and they are more expensive, but where it matters I think (to do their job without side effects) they are worth the money.

I have tried many gels during training and races, from the cheapest to the most expensive. I think this is the top choice. It is worth the money and more. If you think about the money and time you have wasted for performance, an extra 1.5 euros for the gel is of minimal value.

I believe it is indeed one of the best gels on the market. The price is definitely expensive compared to other products on the market. However, the taste is neutral and the consistency is just right, not too liquidy, so it doesn't get swallowed and "burn" the throat during running. In the classic marathon I ran, I used 4 gels and it was exactly the right amount.

With a particular problem in my stomach, having lost battles with this issue, I found a gel that is truly the best thing I have tried, neutral taste and boost like no other gel I have tried so far

Don't think it works miracles because at the end of an endurance bike race, I finished it with cramps, all of these are placebos.....
