I bought it without a second thought and I didn't regret it because in tests with cables that carry the voltage of the DEI Network, that is, 230V, it detected them normally and blinked red along with the relevant sound buzzer it has, just like in cables that are not under voltage, it didn't show anything. It also has a small flashlight. It is worth a lot at this price, but in case you want to cut a cable, you can check if it is plugged in or if the main switch is closed, so you can be more sure about your safety. It cannot detect lower DC voltages such as 12V, it states from 90 to 1000V AC. Conclusion: It is convenient and safer than the testing screwdriver that comes into direct electrical contact with the conductor, it detects the magnetic field that is created around the cable when it is under voltage and notifies accordingly.
