The Akrahos Estate began its journey in 2008 with the purchase of its first vineyards in the Municipality of Aristoteles in Chalkidiki. The organic vineyards are planted with native Greek varieties, located on the eastern slopes of Mount Holomontas, overlooking Mount Athos and the Siggitikos Gulf.

The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 550 - 700 m, exposed to the southern sea breeze and the cool, humid winds from the surrounding mountains at night. These factors contribute to the seasonal hydration sources of the vines, allowing for the frugal use of natural resources.

Moderate irrigation, the shallow, sandy clay soil, and the slate subsoil ensure low yield and high-quality grape production. The grapes reach excellent ripeness with balanced acidity and aromas. The phenolic density and richness provide greater aging potential for the estate's wines.
