  • Gift from my partner, I didn't know what to expect here.. First shave today..
Opening the retro tin box, a smell so familiar yet unknown comes.. I would say it's like a barbershop.
It's the combination of the acidic and sweet smell of the resin of the plant with the peppery smell of the ginseng root.
    Nice, nostalgic smell..
A small amount, as much as a hazelnut, is needed on the wet brush or on the face, to spread the easily made foam.
In terms of slickness, it is quite good, on par with other good English creams.
Where it may fall behind artisan soaps is in post-shave slickness, after the foam has been removed and the razor passes through.
But this is a symptom of almost all creams, except for Nuavia, Meissner, Castle Forbes, and maybe a couple of others..
The post-shave, on the other hand, is decent, keeping the face soft for hours.
My only objection is the offered price in relation to the quantity.. For 100g, it should be around 10 euros, not more, to stand out among the competition as it is now trying to "build its reputation"..
    That's why I give it 3 stars.
