What can one say about Fiskars? Most people here have already said everything about what kind of axes these are. What I will add is that because I kept hearing about Swedish axes, I made the mistake and paid €180 for the Gränsfors Big Splitting Axe 70cm 2.4kg, for which I am now sure it is not more effective than the X25, for which I paid less than half the money. The only certain thing is that few axes are better at splitting than Fiskars, and the only other certainty is that those are much more expensive.

The review is for the xxl x27. The axe is well-made and weighs less than 2.6 kg along with the handle. It is overpriced as for less money you can buy a heavier axe to make your job easier.

Test with large pieces of olive wood (hardwood) where you need to find the grain to split it.. Good job, it cuts a lot but it's not so good for splitting axe.. because it gets stuck sometimes and maybe I should have taken the heavier one!.. (when we split larger logs)

The price may seem a bit steep compared to other brands, but it is worth every penny and then some. Very good axe. To find something better, if it really is better, you have to go for expensive, high-quality options. Although I am 1.70 meters tall, the x27 does not give me any trouble.

One of the best choices for splitting wood, it easily detaches from the wood, especially if you have first applied oil or wax. It is light to handle, although it helps you get the job done with the least possible effort.
Its construction is plastic except for the head, which helps it to be light and to have the weight shifted away from the hands, but at the same time it is also the only point that I am concerned about in terms of durability over time.
So far, after a month of heavy work and some rough hits, it seems to hold up

I won't say much and it's not necessary. The axe cuts down pine pieces in no time. I finished two whole pines with short breaks in 3 hours and something. With a chainsaw I would have struggled for a couple of days, I was saved.

Very good axe, it splits 40cm logs effortlessly. I was skeptical about its blade and how its alloy would hold up against pine, but it went through it like butter, almost effortlessly, with its weight alone, without significant additional force.

I got the X11 to try it on small diameter pieces and I was amazed, incredible balance to the point where you feel like all the productive force you exert ends up at the point you aim for, also even if it doesn't tear with the first hit it doesn't stick to the wood but comes out immediately... Next order X25 for logs!

I bought it with reservation as I was watching videos on YouTube and I was thinking, okay, they don't have a tough knife that doesn't cut easily. In the end, the axe is something else! I highly recommend it! I only cut tough things, whether they are dry or green, and it chops them into little pieces! Get it with your eyes closed and you will remember me!

Very good at splitting. Weight properly distributed. I tried it on logs of oak and I was amazed.

Pure beast. Comfortable, balanced, lightweight without meaning less power. I ripped through 2 tons of wood in one day with a diameter of 40-45 centimeters that other times I couldn't even do half. It doesn't get stuck and also when it throws you back, you don't feel any vibrations. Really, buy it.

Amazing ergonomics. Super lightweight and at the same time very effective. With complete inexperience and the wrong technique, I started chopping firewood with this axe 2 years ago. I really can't hold any other axe in my hands anymore.
