The third and fourth books of Proclus' Commentary on the Timaeus constitute a unit and contain the 10 gifts that, according to Plato and Proclus' interpretation (Vol. II, pp. 5.17-31 Diehl), the creator bestowed upon the universe.
In other words, the first 6 gifts pertain to the body of the universe, the 7th gift to the soul of the universe, and the remaining three gifts to the stars and time. The first 7 gifts are included in the third book of the Commentary, which deals with the creation of the body and soul of the universe, while the remaining 3 are in the fourth book, which concerns the stars.
A significant portion is devoted to the description of the creation of the soul (psychogony), which is divided into five subsections: one that concerns the essence of the soul, one that concerns its harmony, one that concerns its kind (or form or shape), one that concerns its power, and one that concerns its energy.
