After two years it developed a problem and started syncing some ports at 100mbps. I will pay a bit more and go for a more reliable brand.

There's not much to evaluate. Plug and play. It's made of plastic but it does its job. Is it reliable?

Very good at this price. It is plastic and lightweight, it's not something that will blow your mind, but it does its job perfectly.

It's worth its money. It provides a satisfactory number of connections that exceed the requirements for household use. No disconnections or other malfunctions. Daily use with the ps5 and pc connected to it, and occasionally for telecommuting needs with a laptop.

I replaced my old one, which burned out after 10 years of use. It shows quality and stability in its operation.

Easy installation with 2 network cables!

I set up a NAS for the local network, but unfortunately, the telecommunications company's router is only 100mbps, like most routers. And the file transfer speed reached a maximum of 10mb/s, which is the maximum the router can provide.

I have had it in my possession for over 3 years, it works perfectly and without any problems. Connected to its ports are PlayStation, decoder, TV, PC, and occasionally the laptop.

If you buy it at the lowest price, it's worth its money. However, with shipping costs, it reaches prices that more expensive stores have. It's worth getting it click away or along with other consumables for free shipping.
Stable, easy to handle, and real speed of 1Gbps (for file transfer).

Literally plug and play... it does its job perfectly with PS5, Samsung Q70T, Nova (for on demand), and an old TP-LINK extension that I set up as an access point (through the tether app). I've only had it for a few hours, but so far it's a 5/5 star experience

Very cheap and high-quality Gigabit switch. You can't say much. It simply works correctly and flawlessly, unlike DLink which presents several problems. The hardware versions are not very important. Just buy whichever version of TL-SG1080D you find cheaper. And definitely prefer Gigabit over 100Mbit now.

The naming of TP-Link models is a big mess. Same model name but many versions (v5, v6, v7, v8, etc.) that can ultimately be different products, with unrelated photos. I received this specific TL-SG1008D v8 when I had ordered the TL-SG1008D v6. In the v8, the LEDs on the front have disappeared compared to previous versions (always with the same model name), so when you have it on your desk, you don't know how many and which devices are connected. The material on the top is glossy plastic that gets fingerprints just by touching it once, and it scratches very easily. Because the device is very lightweight, it tends to lift up due to the weight of the cables connected to the back. If you can, buy a switch with a metal casing that is heavier and more sturdy. If none of the above bothers you and you won't be seeing it, go ahead and buy it.
