From the reviews I saw, I will agree that sometimes it disconnects for a few seconds or even minutes, which is discouraging, especially if you are watching a video and data is being used without realizing it. The distance from the router is about 2 meters (router in the living room and this in the hallway to boost the signal to the bedrooms). Also, at first, I struggled quite a bit to connect it to the router, so much so that at some point I thought of giving up, but fortunately, I managed by reading some user tips. On the positive side, I've had it for 5 years and it still works!

Perfect. Very easy to use. Simple connection and features for a bit advanced users. Transmission over 3 floors (one unit per floor) for live stream surveillance cameras 2K. No lag, no restarts. 2 months of continuous operation.

300 is definitely not worth it, it's annoying that you have to have the app on your phone to set it up. Every 2-3 days it needs a restart to find the router again.

I would say it’s probably a bad choice. Only its cost can be an excuse for buying it, since anything decent asks for double the price. Otherwise, it only works as an extender for some forgotten ADSL somewhere. For anything above 20-25MBps, forget it. That’s its limit.

Two stars only because you brought it to me for the purchase. Not good range at all. Easy connection with the router, it doesn't disconnect, but the distance is like it doesn't exist!

I expected it to be better... I give it 3 stars because if the wifi code has @ or ! then it never connects. Until I figured out this "trick," I had the hammer next to me to solve the problem once and for all.

It was almost double without obstacles to the router and it didn't catch a good signal, and the 2.4GHz up to 300Mbps I never saw, I got a TP Link and I calmed down, immediately strong signal without too much fuss and bugs in the application.

You need to download the APP from the Xiaomi Google Play. I got a bit confused because I had never used the app before; I registered, etc. Since I connected it, it works perfectly. Very good!!! We only need it at night. We plug it in and in seconds we have wifi in the most remote rooms. We definitely lose speed (expected) but it doesn't bother us

I can't understand why it doesn't let me put special characters in the SSID (eg COSMOTE - XXXXX.... doesn't allow the - ). Otherwise, VFM.

At first it connected and worked relatively easily, lasted 3 months, then disconnected and was never detected again by the phone even after many resets, wasted money.

It barely holds the internet that my mobile uses (5-8 mbp's) and also only works well at the beginning, after 1 month its power starts to decrease.

I just have to say, get it if you have a router at home and want to extend it by another 5 meters (still with difficulty)

In a ground floor apartment of a country house, where the router is only on the 1st floor, I tried TP LINK and cried... I put in the XIAOMI and smiled. I hope I made myself clear.

You need to download and create an account on the Xiaomi Home app, in which you have to give endless access permissions (location, etc.).
When this was done (which I don't like at all for privacy reasons), it found the device but never connected to the phone (it doesn't appear in the networks).
I did a reset and still nothing, I will go back to reliable TP-Link devices and have peace of mind, cheapness eats away at you as our grandparents used to say.

It takes faith to install it... If you eventually manage to do it...
Moderate range, affordable but I believe with a little more money you can get something better

Average difficulty of installation. I have a 50mbps and the extender reaches up to 20 mbps. The range is as if it doesn't exist. (e.g. The router is 10m away and gets 1 wifi signal, the extender is 5m away and still gets 1 wifi signal). It is very picky about which devices it allows to connect, I have 3 computers and some wifi adapters, only half of them connect and stay connected. In short, a waste of money to make the wifi worse.

I have built a Smarthome and all the products are from Xiaomi.
All the products are excellent. I have no complaints about any of them.
I have connected cameras, sensors, a Hub, a smartheater, bulbs, and many other things.
I agree that all the products are easy to sync and set up.
However, I believe there is a serious problem here.

A serious problem that I overcame with the extender is that it didn't provide speed.
I placed it 2 meters away from my router.
The router provides 108mb/s at this distance.
The extender provides 18mb/s.
I had set the router to broadcast on the 5Ghz signal.
So, I also enabled the 2.4Ghz antenna.
But still the same results.
Only when I completely disabled the 5Ghz antenna, I achieved 28mb/s with the extender at the mentioned distance.
But this is not the solution.
Perhaps this specific extender has a problem. I will investigate it further.
My router is the ZTE H1600.
If anyone has found a better solution, please...

It does what it says effortlessly.
Quality construction, easy installation.
It immediately takes the settings from the main network and with the help of the Xiaomi application, it is set up and works nicely.
Of course, it had some glitches and disconnections a few months ago, but with a reset, it felt again and works normally (I have had it for about 18 months). However, this does not make me reduce its rating.
It is a good choice/application for anyone who wants to extend the range of their router in the middle rooms, for example, in a 105 sqm house.

I have had it for a year and it's perfect, but today it started to break down, meaning it doesn't connect to the router and constantly disconnects. It doesn't fix even with a reset, and from what I see, it will end up in the trash.
edit: I fixed it, it needed a reset, but it frustrated me. Now it works well, but I would suggest getting the slightly more expensive one to have peace of mind

Very easy connection through the XiaomiHome app and it transmits the signal from the router at full strength. Tremendous value for money this particular product.

I had difficulty during installation, so I am writing the following for anyone who encounters the same issue: In the Region Settings of the application required for setting up the Extender, Germany was the suggested region. I changed it to "Greece" and the application couldn't recognize the extender. I switched the Region back to "Germany" and everything was okay. The extender works, recognizes the router, and transfers the signal to the room where I had weak WiFi.
