I don't know how much temperature it reached at full power, but it easily cooked 2 beef burgers in 8 minutes (there was room for another one so you can have an idea of the surface). Satisfied with the purchase, there was room for the plate to be slightly larger, but obviously the company made a generic one for all grills. I don't have an opinion on cleaning yet
