Users consider it good value for money, with satisfactory SATA speeds and easy installation. It is best suited for upgrading older laptops or budget systems, everyday use, and as a quiet, cable-free drive. However, it is not particularly fast for demanding workloads, and some users report higher temperatures or failures. Compatibility with the M.2 slot should also be checked.

The m2 cases available either exclusively support SATA, or support both SATA and PCIe, but the vast majority of them have outdated firmware (AI report), and do not recognize the disk/capacity. Creating a compatibility list based on controller/chipset does not work, as the same company that makes a case model which does not work, may have another model with the same controller/chipset that does work due to upgraded firmware!

For a simple budget system, using internet/office/general purposes, without gaming intention, it is fine - standard SATA3 performance that you get from a corresponding 2.5-inch disk, just available in M.2 format, at a good price and capacity - its purpose is not to ignite performance and bring all hardcore PC users to buy it, but to take advantage of modern benefits such as the provided M.2 ports on budget motherboards (which are usually SATA and not always NVME, depending on the CPU/APU you install on it), to save the SATA and power cables from the power supply and make the build look cleaner and more organized (like embedded systems) - Honest, and it does not promise things it cannot do!
I put it in a Dell XPS 9343 from 2015 to go from 256 to 1TB. It works fine. It is one of the few M2 SATA drives available now. It is perfect for older laptops with M2 over SATA. Don't be fooled, it is not a performance drive but a drive that covers the needs of upgrading old computers or barebones. It is a simple SATA drive. Pay attention to what motherboard you have before getting it.

Case B:
Portable USB storage. Bad choice, 0 stars, analysis follows.
Advice:
If you don't want problems with portable USB storage with 1TB+, choose PCIe m2 SSD and the corresponding case regardless of the overkill in performance.
Theoretically:
1) Cases that mention 2TB+ work.
2) PCs rarely have such a problem or can be updated from the BIOS.
CAPACITY:
unallocated space: 953.87GB
Portable usb storage.

Very good for its price and capabilities, it is a very good solution for upgrading an old laptop with a SATA disk to an M2 format
