with an original Spigen case that has a magnet inside, it doesn't stay in place. with the magnet from the package it stays, but on bumps it moves out of position. I have a Samsung s25+

Extremely easy installation on the car's air vents (as long as they do not have a special shape). It holds the phone absolutely stable while driving, with no drops so far.

The only thing you need to know is that it requires placing a metal plate on the back of the phone or case (according to the instructions), for magnetic retention. This does not pose a problem in use and remains functional even after changing the case.

Overall, a very good solution for securely mounting your phone in the car.

After more than a year of use and different cases on the phone, I have the following observations:

The mount, for its price, is quite good and offers a quick and easy plug-and-play solution. The magnet is strong (I place it internally between the phone and the case) but not as strong if the phone case is somewhat thick or (mainly) has grooves for better grip, because either the distance between the magnet and the base increases or the contact surface decreases. If it is thin and smooth, then you have to pull the phone upwards to remove it.

The main problem is that it is not suitable for air vents that are cylindrical and rotate up and down (like those of the Opel Astra G, see photo). You can place it somehow and it will stay, but it is obvious that it was not designed with this type of air vent in mind.

Also, it does not have any soft protective plastic inside at the part that touches the dashboard, resulting in it damaging it (this is also visible in the photo).

One of the best magnetic mounts. Since July 2022, it has been holding the S23 Ultra on it without any issues, which I don't consider to be light.

After many failed mounts, this one did the job. In a car with stiff suspensions, no matter what vibration occurred, the phone did not fall off, to the point that sometimes when I pulled it, I would take the mount with it. The only negative is that you have to stick the magnet to the case (or have the magnet in between), which limits you if you want to put the passenger's phone and not your own.

After 15 tries with all types of mounts, I settled with this one. Be careful to make sure it fits your air vents! Also, pay some attention during installation so you don't damage the plastic of the air vent. Stable and discreet.

I have tried many, none like this, I have it for 1 year and my phone has never come off the base, it is the most stable magnet I have tried.

Good base but for smaller phones. It doesn't work for large devices (e.g., Samsung S20 or similar size). It will hold it, but not on roads with potholes or irregularities, with the "shake-shake" it will fall. Also, due to the small magnetic surface, it's good to place it in the lower grille to "hold against." Otherwise, it tilts.

In general, Spigen products are very good, just this one, as a design, is beautiful and discreet but "weak."

With a heavy durable case, unfortunately, the magnet was not strong enough to hold the phone in place. Maybe in lighter situations it would be okay.

I will start by saying that it is more likely to break the air vent than for the base to come off. It is very strong and sturdy. However, with larger and heavier phones, it does not magnetize strongly, e.g., with iPhone 15/16 and pro models. It comes with a metal plate that is supposed to be placed on the phone to magnetize more securely. But some of us have clear cases and do not want this not-so-pretty plate to show. So it essentially loses half the functionality it should have from there.

It fits in all air vents and its magnet is very strong... I have it in my car for 1.5 years and my phone has not fallen even once. I have attached the magnet to the phone and on top I have a thin Spigen case and it has not come off the base even once!

I took out the case and stuck the magnet sticker on the phone, and put the case back on. It doesn't slip or come off easily. I recommend it without reservations.

I use it for my Hundai Elandra. It doesn't fit particularly well like the air vent. But it is an excellent product.

Just received it. Terrible. On the 3rd attempt to put it on, the rubber bands tore and scratched the vent. Also, the base comes off when you pull the phone

4/5 stars because it needs the metal attachment to hold the mobile phone steady. When I put the phone without a case on the bumps of Athens' streets, the phone would fall.

Very powerful magnet and large metal surface so you can adjust the position of the phone on the base. It holds the Samsung S24 Ultra (232gr) very securely and has not fallen off in the 2-3 weeks that I have had the base. In the old one, it constantly fell due to weight. I have stuck the metal surface to the back of the case. Don't be afraid!

I have it now for six months so I can provide a more rounded opinion.
The magnet is good but unfortunately in not so high speeds if you encounter a bump or a lit the phone fell.
Not very versatile either

I don't know why some people say that it doesn't hold well in potholes, etc. I am a resident of Thessaloniki and on routes from Ano Poli to the peripheral and paved roads, my phone has never fallen. It is an excellent product, simply worth its money.

The cases are very good. The magsafe accessories are not so much. Spigen has one of the weakest magnets on the market for now and this specific base is no exception. Additionally, it is very small for modern mobile phones, plus it comes face to face with the car's air vent

Very powerful magnet! You don't even need to stick the metal to the phone or the case. Just attach it behind the back of your phone with whichever case you have. I consider it ideal for device support.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it doesn't detach or fall off. It doesn't detach... even if there are vibrations from potholes in the car.

I bought it for my Ford Fiesta mk6. I wouldn't recommend it for this specific vehicle or any other that connects to the AirCon. The car's vents are strange. I had to place the magnet low in the holder because my steering wheel was hiding half of the screen, resulting in it not being very stable. The magnet could also be stronger.

I have changed countless dashboard mounts, suction cups, and air vent magnets. Driving a lot and due to the nature of my job off-road, I have to say that this mount is the best I have bought so far. It holds the 14 pro max literally stuck on top of it. The phone doesn't go anywhere! Absolutely satisfied! I recommend it!

Small, discreet, and very stable! The problem is that it is not compatible with my mobile phone (Huawei p30 lite), as the magnet triggers the automatic screen shutdown of the device.

The mobile phone sticks easily and firmly and remains in place even on the worst road with potholes!
