Chateau Talbot is one of the ten Quatriemes Crus Classes in the 1855 classification. It has a rich history, as it was owned by Sir John Talbot, governor of Aquitaine in the 15th century. Since 1917, it has belonged to the Cordier family, and today it is managed by the fourth-generation Cordier, Lorraine Rustmann and Nancy Bignon-Cordier.
It is one of the best and most recognizable wines of the Medoc, a classic and elegant wine with a pleasant aftertaste. It is considered one of the best Saint-Julien.
