I have the same model, bought in 2004 (22 years), I have cut everything, even steel screws, and it hasn't suffered any damage!!!! This so-called Knipex that I received, when cutting a piece of wire, its tip broke!!!!! If there were bananas instead of stars, I would give bananas. The 30€ I paid was a waste.

First test today, I stripped about 10 meters of old cables. It is quite handy in the hand and cuts well. A nice addition to my tools.

I also have the 200mm one, but it doesn’t cut steel wire easily, unlike the cutters that even the smaller Knipex pliers have. The pliers should be harder to cut with, and this one here, which is a more specialized tool for cutting wire and also has a longer handle, should cut more easily; however, I’m getting the opposite results!! Another reason I gave 3 stars, while for all the other tools from this company I’ve given 5. Lately, where it was by far the best company, I see that it has taken a dive in quality. And the finish is no longer the same, something that, beyond the visual aspect, on some tools takes even a little away from the precision and performance of the tool. I would suggest that if you’re going to buy Knipex, don’t order online, but go to small old shops that don’t have much customer traffic, and you’ll surely find some old pieces! The old Knipex are generally not made again! They were by far the most efficient and highest-quality tools out there!!

The best cutter I've ever had. By far. From the first day, it's extremely soft on the joint, to the point where you think it's unscrewed. It cuts perfectly with really minimal force. It looks like a tool for a lifetime.
