Clearly inferior to the previous generation. There is speaker rattling at medium volume with moderate bass. The 18W power makes no sense when, due to the rattling, you can't turn up the volume and bass. Also, the glossy front gives a feeling of cheapness. Below expectations, and it remains to be seen how long it will last before it breaks.
Edit: In the end, the crackling was due to a defective product; I returned them and, after inspection, the money was refunded.
