The board game The Labors of Hercules I is a strategy game based on the labors of Hercules. It includes the first collection of three challenges: the Nemean Lion, the Lernaean Hydra, and the Erymanthian Boar. The challenges are presented through stories inspired by ancient mythology and puzzles combining pattern recognition, logic, mathematics, geometry, and cryptography. Each puzzle has three hints and, once solved, reveals a hidden message related to the moral of the story.

Each puzzle consists of 36 square tiles, which must be arranged in the correct order to form a 6 × 6 square. The difficulty increases progressively across the challenges and collections.
