It consists of only one ingredient, a chemical compound called iso-e-super, for which much has been said about its toxicity, etc.
It is not an ingredient used only in cheap perfumes. Many expensive and well-known perfumes contain it. In fact, it is present in large quantities in some, such as terre Hermes and Dior Homme (old version).

Molecule 01 is a modern, light, unisex, woody balsamic fragrance. It resembles somewhat the scent of mastic and a little bit of cedar wood. It belongs to the woody, balsamic category.
It creates layerings, meaning it can be worn in combination with other fragrances to give that cool, soft, balsamic note, or to sweeten masculine, dry woody fragrances like Herve Leger.
It goes very well with any earthy fragrance, earthy, woody, balsamic, even if they have oud, the combination does not weigh down the whole. It does not produce exactly the same scent on everyone because it interacts with each person's skin chemistry to a greater extent than other fragrances.
Unfortunately, Molecule 01 does not have much intensity. It does not have good projection, while its longevity on the skin is moderate (it lasts longer on clothes).
It is worth mentioning that the sample I have and the regular 100ml perfume seem to differ. The Molecule 01 perfume in the 100ml bottle seemed weaker to me, with less fragrance and slightly different, it did not remind me of what I smelled in the sample.
I conclude that the ambient temperature affects the dynamics of the fragrance and works better on warm days.
