I used it for a DVD driver that I removed from a laptop and it worked great. It loses one star for the cable's build quality, as I don't think it will withstand much and if something breaks, it's not easy to replace (e.g. cable removal). However, it is an economical solution for a slim 13 SATA cable for whoever needs it (like me, for the DVD driver)
