Markos Markovitis, who holds the reins of the eponymous winery, carries a heavy history on his shoulders, that of Chateau Pegasus, one of the first wineries in Naoussa. Markos focuses on Xinomavro and its promotion, having strong foundations but putting his own stamp by producing only this label, in a style that balances between traditional and modern Naoussas. He places particular emphasis on the land, letting it 'do' its job, without many interventions, utilizing the family vineyard which has been a certified organic vineyard since 1992, long before we became familiar with this concept.
