The transfer from the other hard drive to this one was very fast.

Today I received and started setting up applications and transferring files to the new QNAP I received. It's quite fast but also quite noisy... I haven't heard such intensity from a disk in a while... I also have the old NAS (Synology) next to it with two disks and it rarely makes any noise, and even then it's minimal.
Other than that, it's fine
Σημερα παρελαβα και ξεκινησα να στηνω εφαρμογες και να περναω αρχεια στο νεο QNAP που παρελαβα. Αρκετα γρηγορός αλλα και αρκετα θορυβωδεις... Ειχα καιρο να ακουσω τοση ενταση σε δισκο... Εχω διπλα και το παλιο NAS (Synology) με δυο δισκους και ακουγεται λιγες φορες και αυτες ελαχιστα
The first disk I received was Dead On Arrival. It NEVER worked!!! The second disk, as a replacement for the first, seems to be OK, fast and silent. I will update my opinion after a few months of use.
24/7/2022: After one year, it has not shown any problems.
16/5/2023: It's been almost two years and its health is at 98%, according to the specialized program HD Sentinel Pro.
31/3/2024: At three years, its health remains at 98%, just as it was 10 months ago.
28/7/2025: Still perfect (98%), just like a year ago, with 65% full...
Ο 1ος δίσκος που παρέλαβα ήταν Dead On Arrival. Δεν δούλεψε ΠΟΤΕ!!! Ο 2ος δίσκος σε αντικατάσταση του 1ου, φαίνεται να είναι ΟΚ, γρήγορος και αθόρυβος. Θα ενημερώσω μετά από μερικούς μήνες λειτουργίας για την γνώμη μου.
24/7/2022: Μετά από ένα χρόνο, δεν έχει παρουσιάσει κανένα πρόβλημα.
16/5/2023: Μετρά σχεδόν δύο χρόνια και η υγεία του είναι 98%, σύμφωνα με ειδικό πρόγραμμα HD Sentinel Pro.
31/3/2024: Στα τρία χρόνια και η υγεία του παραμένει 98%, όσο και πριν από 10 μήνες.
28/7/2025: Παραμένει ακόμα τέλειος (98%), όπως και πριν από ένα χρόνο, με 65% γεμάτο...
Purchased for desktop use, it has proven reliable so far.
It operates for many hours a day, almost full at 8TB.
The only negative is that it is noisy, but that is a matter of my own use with the computer on my desk.

Το μονο αρνητικο ειναι οτι ειναι θορυβωδης, αλλα αυτο ειναι θεμα δικης μου χρησης με τον υπολογιστη να ειναι πανω στο γραφειο μου.
I bought the disk in November 18th, I waited quite a bit (received it in December) but it was worth it.
I bought it for 220E, replaced the 4TB in my system, got one for starters and will get another one.
It's cool, very fast. No comparison to Archive or regular Barracuda. Of course, the downside is that it's not completely silent, the head in read-write is mainly quite audible, but both the PC and the room are completely silent, probably in another environment it may not be noticed at all.
As for reliability, time will tell.

Αγόρασα το δίσκο το Νοέμβριο του 18, περίμενα αρκετά (παρέλαβα Δεκέμβρη) αλλά άξιζε.
Τον αγόρασα στα 220Ε, αντικατέστησα τους 4ΤΒ στο σύστημά μου, πήρα έναν γι΄αρχή και θα πάρω κι άλλον.
Είναι κρύος, ταχύτατος. Καμία σχέση με Archive ή απλό Barracuda. Βέβαια το αντίτιμο είναι ότι δεν είναι εντελώς αθόρυβος, η κεφαλή σε read - write κυρίως ακούγεται αρκετά, αλλά και το pc - δωμάτιο είναι εντελώς αθόρυβο, πιθανότατα σε άλλο περιβάλλον να μην παρατηρείται καν.
Για την αξιοπιστία, ο χρόνος πλέον θα δείξει.

I have two Ironwolf 8TB drives in a NAS and in RAID 1 for almost a year. No complaints. I didn't expect anything faster since the gigabit ethernet sets the limits on my setup's speeds.
Έχω δυο Ironwolf 8ΤΒ σε NAS και σε RAID 1 εδω και σχεδόν ένα χρόνο. Κανένα παράπονο. Δεν περίμενα κάτι πιο γρήγορο απο την στιγμή που το gigabit ethernet βάζει τα όρια στις ταχύτητες του setup μου.
I have 8 disks, I have had them for about 4 months, so far no problem, they are (for engineers) quite silent, fast and if we continue like this without problems I will be very satisfied. In recent years, Seagate has improved a lot. The future will show
