Alexis Komselis

Alexis Komselis is the Director of the ALBA Hub for Enterprise and Development at the ALBA Graduate Business School. He holds a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and is a doctoral candidate at the Aberdeen Business School, focusing his research on family businesses. His research interests center around family business and entrepreneurship, and he is responsible for the STEP Project (Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices) in Greece. He coordinates the research and selection process for entrepreneurs awarded the KOUROS Awards by the Entrepreneurship Club. Additionally, he was involved in promoting the "Stelios Haji-Ioannou Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year" along with the AHEAD team for the first three years. Concurrently, he participates in projects at the Department of Economics at the University of Piraeus. Within these projects, he has taught Entrepreneurship at Tbilisi State University, authored educational materials on family businesses for training programs, and is part of the initial team of trainers for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit (MOKE). He teaches Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Family Business in adult education programs. He also supports family businesses with specialized training programs and workshops. He regularly writes articles on entrepreneurship and family businesses for the Greek press and has authored a book on the 15-year history of the KOUROS Awards by the Entrepreneurship Club. He is a member of IFERA (International Family Enterprise Research Academy) and FFI (Family Firm Institute).
