Oyrania N. Toutountzi

Ourania Toutountzi was born in Athens in 1965. She studied Social and Political Sciences in Greece and is a sociologist with a Ph.D. from Panteion University. From 2002 to 2006, she taught the elective seminar "Philosophy - Culture - Communication" at Harokopio University. She quickly turned to purely philosophical pursuits, drawing intellectual inspiration from the works of Greek pagan philosophers such as Empedocles, Parmenides, Heraclitus, and Zeno of Elea. Since 2011, she has been organizing workshops to teach ancient Greek to elementary school children. To date, she has written seven philosophical books and one children's book titled "The Kind King." She has been involved in teaching at all levels of education. Her vision is for a meaningful educational exploration.
