
Michael A. Belch
Michael (or Mickey) A. Belch is a marketing professor at San Diego State University and co-director of the Center for Integrated Marketing Communications at San Diego State University. He earned his bachelor's degree from Penn State University and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Before entering academia, he worked as a marketing representative for General Food Corporation and has consulted for numerous companies, including McDonald's, Whirlpool Corporation, Senco Products, GTI Corporation, IVAC, May Companies, and Phillips-Ramsey Advertising. He has conducted seminars on integrated marketing communications and marketing management for many multinational companies and has participated in executive training programs in France, Amsterdam, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, China, and Slovenia. He has authored and co-authored over 40 articles in the fields of advertising, consumer behavior, and international marketing in academic journals such as the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, and Journal of Business Research. He has received numerous accolades from undergraduate and graduate students and was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Member Award at the College of Business Administration at San Diego State University in 2007.
