Vasilis A. Mpogiatzis

Vasilis Boyatzis was born in 1971 in Athens. He holds a Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)/National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in the history and philosophy of science and technology and teaches in secondary education and at the Hellenic Open University. During the academic year 2010-2011, he taught as a member of the Adjunct Educational Personnel at the Hellenic Open University, in the thematic unit "Natural and Human Sciences in Europe." He has published studies in Greek and international journals and has presented papers at Greek and international conferences. His research interests focus on the History of Ideas, Modernity Studies, and the History of Science and Technology, with an emphasis on the appropriation of technology and the scientific ideal by politicians and intellectuals.
