Andreas M. Kazamias

Andreas Kazamias is one of the leading figures in Comparative Education. He has worked for over half a century as an academic in the USA and Europe. He is currently an Emeritus Professor at the University of Wisconsin in the USA and at the Universities of Athens and Ioannina. He served as President of the Pedagogical Society of Greece and President of the Greek Society of Comparative Education. In 1981, he was elected a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Athens. He has published numerous research papers and has overseen the publication of scientific journals and editions, including the Comparative Education Review. He was a founding member and President of scientific associations and served as an advisor to governments on educational matters. His books have been translated into many foreign languages and are taught at major foreign universities.
