Kostas Kostis

Kostas Kostis was born in 1957 in Athens. He studied at the Department of Economics at the University of Athens and pursued economic history at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, where he defended his doctoral dissertation in 1985 on the topic "Economie agricole et banque agraire. Aspects de l'economie de la Grece entre les deux guerres, 1919-1927." He taught at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens from 1988 to 2003. Since 2004, he has been a professor of economic and social history at the Department of Economics at the University of Athens. From 2006 to 2009, he held the Chair of Modern and Contemporary Greek Studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
