Lena Kallergi

Lena Kallergi was born and lives in Athens. She has published the poetry books "Gardens in the Sand" (Gavriilidis, 2010 - Maria Polydouri Award for Debut Poet, 2011) and "A Ship is Left Over" (Gavriilidis, 2016 - Poets' Circle Award and finalist for the State Poetry Award, 2017). She participated in the collective experimental poetry books "Group From Poetry" (Gavriilidis, 2010) and "Group From Poetry II: Hyper Oneiria" (Gavriilidis, 2012). She has translated Italian poetry by Giacomo Leopardi ("The Night Remains," Gavriilidis, 2013) and texts by Mario Vitti ("The City Where I Was Born," Gavriilidis, 2013).
