Kostis Kornetis

Kostis Kornetis studied history and political science at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and pursued War Studies and Modern Greek Studies at King's College London. He completed his master's degree in modern history at University College London and earned his Ph.D. in the Department of History and Civilization at the European University Institute in Florence, focusing on the student movement during the Greek military junta (forthcoming, Berghahn Books). He has been a fellow of the Spanish government in Madrid, a visiting researcher at the Sorbonne, and a Visiting Global Scholar at New York University, where he attended Film Studies courses with a focus on documentary. Since 2007, he has been working as a visiting assistant professor in the History Department at Brown University in the USA. His articles on contemporary social and cultural history have been published in academic journals in Greece and abroad. He is a regular contributor to the "Bibliodromio" supplement of the newspaper "Ta Nea."
