Periklis Gogas

Periklis Gogkas is an Associate Professor of Economic Analysis and International Economics at the Democritus University of Thrace and the Deputy Director of the Laboratory of Decision Theory and Economic Analysis. His research interests focus on Macroeconomics, Finance, Complexity, and Machine Learning. He is the author of the books "Modern Business" (Dionikos, 2010), "Entrepreneurship Guide" (Sophia, 2017), "Modern Greek Myths" (Kritiki, 2018), and "Economics for Non-Specialists" (Kritiki, 2016), which became a bestseller and was voted in the top 10 of the Public's audience awards. He has presented his research work, by invitation, at the University of Michigan, Temple University, and the European Central Bank. He serves as a reviewer for research programs for the national research academies of Greece, Poland, Croatia, and Kazakhstan. Many of his articles are published in the press. Before dedicating himself to an academic career, he served for several years as the financial director of a major Greek multinational company and is involved in business consulting.
