Olga Epitropaki

Olga Epitropaki is an Associate Professor and holds the "Stavros Costopoulos" Endowed Chair in Human Resource Management and Development at ALBA Graduate Business School. She is also the Academic Director of the MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Professor of Organizational Psychology at Aston University in the UK. She studied Psychology at the University of Crete and completed her postgraduate and doctoral studies at Cardiff University (with an IKY scholarship). She has taught at Aston Business School, the University of Sheffield, EMLYON Business School, and the University of Cyprus. Her research interests focus on leadership, emotion, and diversity management. For her doctoral dissertation, she received the Jepson School Award for Outstanding Dissertations in Leadership Studies from the University of Virginia in 2001 and was one of the six finalists for the 2000 Newman Best Dissertation Award for the Academy of Management. Her research findings have been published in leading international scientific journals, such as the "Journal of Applied Psychology," "Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin," "Leadership Quarterly," and "Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology," among others, and have been presented at international scientific conferences. Her articles have been included twice in the Best Paper Proceedings of the Academy of Management Conference. She is a member of the editorial board of Leadership Quarterly and serves as the HR Ambassador for Greece for the HR Division of the Academy of Management. She also has extensive professional experience and has worked as a consultant and executive trainer for numerous Greek and multinational companies, including Athens International Airport, National Bank of Greece, Piraeus Bank, EFG-Eurobank Ergasias, Bancpost, Viohalco, Carrefour, GlaxoSmithKline, Novo Nordisk, Phillip-Morris, Shell, Sanofi-Aventis, Tasty Foods, Titan, Vodafone, and Xerox. She is also a scientific advisor for the Best Workplaces competition in Greece and the Recruitment Confidence Index labor market trends survey.
