
Konstantinos Axarloglou
Kostas Axarloglou is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of International Economic Relations and Development at the Democritus University of Thrace. He has taught at the following academic institutions: University of Michigan, Duke University, ALBA Graduate Business School, and Babson College (where he held the "Michael Gerrits" research chair). He studied Economic Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1995. His research interests focus on the field of international business relations (foreign direct investment and international strategy). The results of his research have been published in reputable academic journals such as "Management Science," "Journal of Business," "Journal of the European Economic Association," "Managerial and Decision Economics," among others. He has received several research scholarships and has presented his research findings at numerous international scientific conferences. Lastly, Dr. Axarloglou, a recipient of the Fulbright scholarship, serves on the boards of directors of major Greek companies.
