
Dimitrios K. Patsopoulos
D. K. Patsopoulos was born and permanently resides in Kalamata. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Patras in 1995. He obtained his Master's degree with a specialization in "Applied Mathematics" from the National Technical University of Athens in 2000. He defended his doctoral dissertation titled "Didactic Reconstructions of the History of Mathematics: The Establishment of the Name 'Thales' Theorem' in Modern Greek Education" in 2006 at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Patras. He has published papers in international journals and at international and national conferences. His interests include History, particularly of (scientific) education and (ancient Greek and Byzantine) Mathematics, Philosophy, especially the Philosophy of (ancient Greek) Mathematics, and Pedagogy, specifically the relationship between the History and Didactics of Mathematics. He works as an associate in higher education departments.
