Libby Tata Arcel
Libby Tata Arcel, Professor Emerita of Clinical Psychology at the University of Copenhagen, served as a scientific member on the Common Market's "Warburton Mission" examining committee for wartime rapes in the former Yugoslavia during 1991-1992. She was the director of psychosocial programs for refugee care in the former Yugoslavia (1992-1995), founded and directed two centers for the treatment and rehabilitation of war and torture victims in Zagreb and Sarajevo (1996-2002), and served as a consultant for seven years in the Refugee Protection department of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Additionally, she collaborated with the universities of Athens and Thessaloniki and was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Research Center for Gender Equality (KETHI) and the General Secretariat for Gender Equality (GSGE) in Greece. She had a prolific scientific writing career. She passed away on February 12, 2018.
