
Giorgos Atsalakis
Dr. Giorgos Atsalakis is a lecturer in the Department of Production Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Crete. In 1986, he graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business (formerly A.S.O.E.E.). In 2000, he received a Master's degree in Organization and Management from the Technical University of Crete. In 2006, he earned a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Crete, specializing in stock price forecasting. Since 1987, he has been working as a Special Teaching Staff II at the Technical University of Crete. His primary research activity focuses on forecasting and modeling financial figures using intelligent computational methods from the fields of neural networks, fuzzy logic, neuro-fuzzy systems, genetic algorithms, and more. His research areas mainly concentrate on predicting stock prices, foreign exchange, and other markets.
